An ordinary stranger asked for the hand of a blind daughter. No one suspected who he really was!

LIFE STORIES

Zaynab had never seen the light since birth — she was blind, but she had a sensitive heart and a deep inner world.
In a family where outward appearance mattered greatly, it was hard for her to find her place. Her sisters were often the center of attention, while Zaynab herself grew up more withdrawn and quiet.

Her mother died when Zaynab was five, and since then the home became less warm. Her father, overwhelmed with worries and sadness, distanced himself from his daughter. He didn’t know how to handle a child with special needs and increasingly avoided contact with her. He was not cruel — he simply didn’t know how to support her.

When Zaynab turned 21, a traveler knocked on their door. His name was Jusza. He was modestly dressed and spoke with extraordinary respect. He said he had heard about Zaynab and wanted to get to know her better. Her limitations did not scare him — on the contrary, he was captivated by her voice, calmness, and clarity of thought.

At first, her father hesitated, but seeing Jusza’s sincerity, he agreed to the meeting. A few weeks later, Jusza asked for Zaynab’s hand. The girl was also curious about who this man was — and though everything happened quite quickly, she felt calm with him.

The wedding was modest, almost like a home affair. Although Zaynab could not see his face, she felt kindness in his voice and gestures.

After the wedding, they moved to a small house on the edge of the village. The house was simple, but Jusza cared for it tenderly — and for her. He described sunrises to her, talked about birdsong, brewed fragrant tea, and read aloud every evening.

With him, she felt needed, heard, important. For the first time in her life, Zaynab felt loved simply for who she was.

One day, she asked him:

— Jusza, who were you before you came to us?

He fell silent, then gently replied:

— I will tell you someday. For now, the most important thing is that we are together.

She didn’t press. Her love did not depend on his past.

But one day, when she went to the market for vegetables, she accidentally met an old acquaintance who said a sentence that troubled Zaynab:

— Do you know who he really is?

After returning home, calmly but firmly she asked Jusza:

— Please, tell me the truth. I’m not angry, I just want to know.

Jusza sat beside her, took her hand, and said:

— I wanted you to know me as I am — without titles and outward shine. I am the son of an emir. I left the palace disguised as an ordinary man to find someone who would love my heart, not my position. And I found you.

Zaynab was silent. A wave of feelings surged within her: surprise, joy, disbelief.

— Why did you choose me? — she asked.

— Because you see more than those who look with their eyes. You saw a person in me. And then I realized I had found my soulmate.

A few days later, a royal carriage arrived at their house. Jusza took her to the palace, holding her hand tightly. His mother, the queen, greeted Zaynab with surprise, but when she saw how her son looked at his wife, she smiled.

— Since he chose you, it means you are worthy. Welcome to the family.

Everything in the palace was different — noisy, rich, unfamiliar. But Jusza did not leave Zaynab’s side for a moment. He declared before the council:

— Until my wife is respected — I will not accept the crown.

Silence fell. In that silence, Zaynab understood: her life had changed. She was no longer the one she had once been thought to be. She was a woman who was loved. Who became a princess not by title, but by heart.

She already knew that true value does not lie in appearance, but in kindness, respect, and sincerity. And that every person deserves love — regardless of how they see the world.
