Courtney Ann Sanford, 32 years old and known as an accomplished driver, met an unexpected end on a day that had started like any other. While she was on the road, she felt a wave of joy when her favorite song, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, came on the radio. To share her enthusiasm, Courtney took a selfie and posted it on Facebook with the words: “This song makes me happy!

This split-second decision proved to be fatal. Shortly after, Courtney’s vehicle collided with a truck at around 60 km/h. The impact sent her car into a ditch and then into a tree. In the devastating aftermath, her car was engulfed in flames, and she became trapped inside.

Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. When her family was informed, they became aware of her last Facebook post, which, shockingly, was made around the time of the incident. Law enforcement confirmed: “The post was made at 8:33 a.m. We received the emergency call at 8:34 a.m.
