It seems like you’re talking about something you found in your daughters’ room, but you didn’t specify what it is. Could you provide more details or describe the object or substance you’re referring to?

LIFE STORIES

Kelli Tarin shared a strange image of a mysterious pile in the ‘Home Tips’ group. Tarin posted a photo in her message. The image shows a thin pile, similar to dirt, on the floor. Tarin finds two mysterious piles each day, cleans them up, and is seeking help to figure out what they are.

The two piles were found worryingly in her daughter’s room, so it’s important to determine if there’s a cause for concern. She also mentions that since they moved into this rental house, everything has been happening quite quickly. Regarding the texture, Tarin says they resemble ant mounds or coffee grounds, but to the touch, they feel like shells.

The mysterious pile becomes even more enigmatic.

After the homeowner asked for help from the online community, news of the strange pile spread quickly. The post received over 440,000 reactions and more than 9,000 comments. Despite all this attention, no one could definitively determine what the mysterious piles actually were. However, there were many recommendations.

Some people thought it might be an ant colony, particularly difficult to eradicate due to its persistence. Others suggested it could be mouse droppings. As for droppings, many believed termites were the real cause. After considering all these recommendations, Tarin decided to seek help from experts.

However, the experts’ conclusion made the situation even more enigmatic. After contacting two pest control companies, both claimed they had never seen anything similar to the mysterious piles.

In later posts, Tarin specified that she had ensured her daughter stayed at her father’s house while the case was being investigated. Termites do not leave behind such crispy or ‘seed-like’ residues, so they were ruled out. Additionally, after thoroughly spraying the entire house, she never saw live cockroaches, so she excluded them as well.

The most she had seen were a few dead cockroaches. She adds that she grew up on a farm, so she knows what mouse droppings look like, but what she found was not them. Recently, bats were suggested, but since she lives in West Texas, it seems unlikely.
