A woman who transformed herself into a “vampire” by covering her entire body with tattoos reveals what she looked like before the ink, and you’d better sit down before you see it…

LIFE STORIES

A stern warning has been issued to those who imitate her by the woman who holds the Guinness World Record for the most physical alterations. Maria José Cristerna, known as the “living vampire” due to her unusual appearance, has worked on her extensive collection of tattoos for most of her life. She got her first tattoo at the age of 14. With a total of 50 physical changes, the Mexican woman secured her place as the most altered woman in the Guinness World Records for 2022. Cristerna’s unusual modifications include implants in her arms and forehead, multiple piercings, a forked tongue, and an astonishing collection of tattoos that cover almost her entire body, including her eyeballs. Speaking to the Guinness World Records, Cristerna admitted, “At first, my father didn’t agree with the idea. But after that, he took me to the tattoo parlor to get my very first tattoo.

Emphasizing her deep connection to art, she explained: “Art flows through my veins. I’ve loved art since I was little, and now I can express it through my body.” She attributes her changes to a ten-year oppressive and abusive marriage and aims to advocate for other women who have suffered similar physical, mental, and emotional violence. “The only way to escape violence and abuse is to love yourself. We came into this world to be happy,” she emphasized. Her physical changes are emblems of courage, perseverance, and freedom from her past. While each modification holds particular significance, Cristerna found the implants in her arms and the pigmentation of her eyes to be the most painful. Cristerna remains determined in her quest for self-expression as she celebrates her Guinness World Records title. “You can always achieve your goals. There are no limits. Nothing is impossible if you think about it,” she explained.

She plans to cover 100% of her body with tattoos and proudly states, “I don’t care what people think of me. I put myself first. I know who I am, and that’s the most important thing.” However, she has issued a warning to young people considering similar drastic changes. Cristerna said, “The advice I would give is to think about it a lot because it’s irreversible.” She continued, “I love my appearance, but we must understand that there are young people who are very open to tattoos, piercings, and everything. It has become trendy, so we could reach a point where it’s no longer what we want and we might not like it anymore.

So you have to think very deeply about it in order to love it and be able to defend it throughout your life.” The “vampire,” who wrote about getting tattooed earlier this week, continues to get tattooed despite her advice to others not to get tattoos unless they are absolutely sure. She posted a photo of her latest makeover on Instagram, showing an artist working on her back in a tattoo shop. A caption accompanying the image reads: “Another badge for my brother René Camarena Laus Satanus.” Share this story with your friends and family and let us know what you think in the comments!
