LIFE STORIES

Upon learning that his wife had only three days left to live, the husband leaned toward her and whispered with a satisfied smile: “Finally, all your property will be mine.”
But he had no idea about the revenge plan his “submissive” wife had prepared for him. 😢😱

When Leah opened her eyes, she was immediately hit by dizziness. She felt nothing but pain.

Voices echoed in the hallway. Leah recognized the muffled voice of the chief doctor:

“Her condition is critical… Liver failure is progressing… Three days at most.”

Even through the white wall, she recognized the second voice. It was her husband, Oliver.

Leah closed her eyes and slightly opened the door.

Oliver entered, holding a bouquet of flowers, sat on the edge of the bed, and took Leah’s hand.

Her husband stroked her wrist and leaned over her. He was certain she was heavily sedated and couldn’t hear anything.

Then he whispered:

“Finally. I’ve waited so long for this. Your house, your accounts, your business… Everything will finally be mine.”

He smiled softly, almost tenderly. Leah understood: her husband had never wanted her — only her money.

Oliver stood up, put on a sympathetic expression, and already in the hallway told the nurse:

“Please keep an eye on her. I’m so worried… She’s my whole life.”

His hypocrisy almost made her sick. The door closed.

Leah opened her eyes wide. Her heart was racing.

Suddenly she heard splashing water and soft steps in the corridor. They were washing the floor. Leah gathered her strength and called:

“Young lady… come here.”

The door opened slightly. A young nurse peeked inside — thin, frightened, but attentive. Her badge read “Maria.”

“Yes? Are you feeling unwell?” she asked, ready to run to the doctor.

“No,” Leah whispered. “I need to ask you something.”

Maria came closer. Leah squeezed her hand as strongly as her weakness allowed.

“Listen carefully. If you do everything I tell you… you will never work as a nurse again. Never.”

Maria froze. Her eyes widened.

“What must I…?”

Leah spoke softly but firmly.

Leah dictated the safe’s address, the code, the list of documents, the lawyer’s name, and instructions on who to call and which surveillance recordings to retrieve from the clinic’s archive.

Maria listened without interrupting. When Leah finished, the young woman simply nodded:

“I’ll do everything. I promise.”

Maria got to work immediately. The next morning, everything was prepared.

All documents related to real estate, companies, investment portfolios, and safes were transferred to the charitable foundation.

A small percentage of the foundation was listed under Maria’s name — enough for her to forget what hard labor meant.

When Oliver returned to the clinic, he was ready for a show. He entered the room, sat beside her, and took Leah’s hand.

“How are you?” he murmured with a broken voice.

Leah looked at him as if all her strength had left her. Her voice was weak but clear:

“Oliver… I signed… the papers.”

He froze.

“Which… papers, my dear?”

She coughed lightly, as if gathering her thoughts.

“I transferred all my property to the charitable foundation. You will get nothing.”

Oliver’s face twisted.

“What have you done?! You… you couldn’t have!”

“You thought I was blind?…”

He exploded:

“Give everything back! Do you hear me?! Give everything back! Everything is mine, and you’re going to die!”

“You always wanted my death, Oliver. But it seems you’re the one who lost everything now.”
