LIFE STORIES

On our first wedding night, when I looked “down there,” I was horrified and finally understood why my husband’s parents had given me a house and a car, just so I would agree to marry their son 😱😨

В нашу первую брачную ночь, когда я посмотрела "там вниз",  я пришла в ужас и наконец поняла, зачем родители мужа подарили мне дом и машину, лишь бы я согласилась выйти замуж за их сына

I met Mark through mutual friends. Honestly, at first, I didn’t take him seriously. I felt I was still too young for marriage: life, plans, freedom lay ahead. I wasn’t in a hurry to tie myself to any commitments.

But Mark turned out to be exactly the kind of person it’s hard not to trust. Calm, polite, attentive. He never raised his voice, knew how to listen, and always carried himself with dignity. Being around him felt peaceful. Gradually, this calm reliability grew into attachment, and then into the decision to marry him.

The only thing that unsettled me from the start was his parents. They were too generous. Even before the wedding, they promised to give me a house, a car, and a large sum of money if I agreed to become their son’s wife. At the time, it seemed strange, but I decided they were just concerned about Mark and wanted to secure his future. Their family was influential and respected, and I didn’t look for a hidden agenda where I thought there was none.

On the evening after the wedding, we were alone. The room was quiet, bathed in soft light. Mark stood next to me in a white shirt, noticeably tense, as if delaying an inevitable conversation. When I lowered my gaze and looked “there,” everything fell into place.

I realized in horror why his parents had given me such enormous property — so I would marry their son.

I screamed in terror when I saw it… 😲😱 Continuation in the first comment 👇👇

I recoiled and screamed — not out of fear, but from the sudden realization of what I had been drawn into.

Mark was not like the men I had seen before.

He immediately stopped me.

“Please, don’t scream,” he said softly. “I’ll explain everything.”

He spoke slowly, as if he had been preparing for this conversation for a long time.

In his childhood, he had an accident that left him permanently unable to have children. In their family, this was equivalent to shame.

His parents could not allow society to know the truth. They needed a wife for their son — official, respectable, without scandals or questions.

“I’m not like other men,” he said directly. “And I never could be. But I needed a wife. Not out of love. For the sake of the family’s reputation.”

Then he offered me a deal. I would get a secure life, protection, status, and freedom within the marriage. He — a wife for society. No obligations between us, except for outward appearances. If I wanted children, we could adopt.

I sat on the edge of the bed, hands clenched, realizing that in one evening my life had taken a completely different turn than I had expected. Before me was not a choice between ‘yes’ and ‘no,’ but a decision that would determine my entire future.

And I didn’t know what to say.
