LIFE STORIES

On Friday morning, serious road accidents occurred in several locations across the country, with the most shocking being a bus crash involving a private car near Jászapáti. According to civil protection reports, the accident took place on Main Road 31, between kilometers 94 and 95, with the bus partially sliding into the ditch.

Professional firefighters from Jászberény and municipal firefighters from Jászkisér responded to the scene. Using hydraulic cutting equipment, one injured person was rescued from the wreckage and immediately handed over to emergency services. The road was completely closed during the accident investigation, causing significant traffic congestion in the area.Shortly after, other road accidents were reported:

A truck and a private car collided on the M7 motorway near Polgárdi. The firefighters from Polgárdi disconnected the vehicles from the electrical network, and emergency services rushed to assist the injured. Traffic on the affected section is now limited to one lane. A truck overturned on the M5 motorway heading towards Szeged. Its cargo fell into the ditch, and the technical rescue is being carried out by the professional firefighters from Szeged. Here, traffic is flowing smoothly, but the rescue operations are still ongoing.

According to Útinform, the road between Jászapáti and Jászjákóhalma was completely closed. Drivers are required to take a detour via Jászladány, which, however, results in significant delays. Authorities are advising everyone to exercise caution and pay particular attention due to winter road conditions.

Please drive carefully! Today’s accidents once again highlight the importance of following traffic regulations, especially during the winter. The work of firefighters, emergency responders, and police on the affected road sections emphasizes the importance of prompt assistance, but preventing accidents remains a shared responsibility for all road users.

Be cautious on the roads and avoid the affected areas if possible!
