A nurse wanted to steal a valuable ring from a deceased man, but when she touched his hand, she screamed in fear. 😱😱
Anna, a nurse, had worked in the morgue for nearly three years. During that time, she had gotten used to everything: the icy smell, the silence, the indifference of death. But over time, she realized more and more: it was impossible to get rich with this job. The salary barely covered living expenses, and Anna dreamed of something else: her own house, traveling to countries she had only seen in photos.

But these dreams were not meant to come true if she continued to work honestly. And then Anna did something no one was supposed to know: she started stealing.
Not from her colleagues, nor from the hospital, but from those who would never wake up. People often ended up in the morgue with expensive jewelry, rings, necklaces, watches.
Sometimes even wallets or car keys. Relatives rarely noticed the loss: they were too shocked by the death itself. And even if they remembered the details, no one in the morgue gave a precise answer.
For Anna, it was easy money. And then one day, a man of about thirty-five was admitted to the morgue. The cause of death was a heart attack. Young, not old, and clearly from a wealthy family: the clothes were expensive and well-maintained. But most of all, Anna’s attention was drawn to the gold ring on his ring finger. Thick, solid, with a subtle shine – clearly not a cheap trinket.
“Probably expensive…” crossed her mind. She decided to wait for the right moment. That evening, when the doctor on duty left and the nurse wheeled the stretcher to the next room, Anna found herself alone with the man. She knew that the cameras in this part of the morgue had not worked for a long time: the wiring was broken and no one had fixed it.
She approached and leaned toward the man. His face was calm, as if he were asleep. But Anna had seen hundreds of such “sleepers”; to her, it was not a person, but an object. She reached out and carefully tried to remove the ring.
A nurse wanted to steal a valuable ring from a deceased man, but when she touched his hand, she screamed in fear.
But when she touched the ring, her heart nearly stopped. 😱😱
The man’s hand was warm.
She withdrew her fingers and paled. She stood there for a few seconds, incredulous. Thoughts ran through her mind: “Impossible… the dead are not warm. I must have made a mistake. It’s just nerves…”
But her inner voice did not stop. Trembling, she touched his hand again, this time placing her fingers on his wrist.
A pulse. Weak, barely noticeable, but a pulse nonetheless.
Anna recoiled sharply and pressed her mouth shut to avoid screaming. Her head was spinning: the man was still alive.
If she hadn’t tried to remove the ring, he would have been considered dead, and tomorrow his body would have been dissected on the coroner’s table.
Seconds passed like eternity. Anna realized: her habit of stealing had just saved a man’s life. She rushed to get help and called a doctor.
The nurse had tried to steal a valuable ring from the deceased, but when she touched his hand, she screamed in terror.
Later, it turned out that the man had suffered a rare episode: a deep and lethargic sleep. His heart slowed, breathing became almost inaudible, and even an experienced doctor declared him dead.
But thanks to Anna, thanks to her criminal and fatal act, the man survived.
And only she knew that the reason for this miraculous rescue was not her conscience, but her greed.
