LIFE STORIES

The bride passed away right during the wedding, and they took her to the morgue, but the morgue attendant noticed something strange: the bride had rosy cheeks, like she was alive, and a heartbeat 😱

Then something happened that terrified everyone 😯

Невеста ушла из жизни прямо во время свадьбы и ее отвезли в морг, но санитарка морга заметила странное: у невесты были румяные щёки, как у живой и сердцебиение

In the morning, an ambulance arrived at the building. The siren abruptly stopped, and cars with white ribbons and flowers entered the courtyard. A real wedding procession stopped at the morgue entrance. People in festive clothing stood bewildered; some were crying, others just stared at a single point.

The bride was carried in on a stretcher. She wore a lace dress, her hair neatly styled. The bouquet still lay on her chest. The groom walked beside her. He neither shouted nor wept. He looked at her as if everything happening was a mistake.

The morgue attendant watched from the corridor. She had recently started working there. At first, she had been scared; at night, she dreamed of corridors and cold walls. One day, the senior doctor told her:

— You shouldn’t fear the dead. More dangerous are those who walk and smile.

Since then, she had approached the bodies calmly. They could no longer harm anyone.

After the relatives were taken away, the body was left in a box. The doctor quickly checked the documents and said:

— Autopsy tomorrow. Close your shift today and don’t linger.

— Is the cause of death confirmed? — asked the attendant.

— Poisoning. Everything is clear, signed. Don’t worry.

He left. The room became silent.

The attendant was alone. She stepped closer to the table. The bride looked too calm. Her skin wasn’t gray. Her lips weren’t blue. Her cheeks glowed with a faint blush.

She frowned. The morgue was always cold. Bodies quickly turned icy.

She touched the girl’s hand and sharply pulled back her fingers. The skin was warm.

She touched it again—carefully, as if afraid of being wrong. Beneath her fingers, she felt the softness of a living body. It seemed to her that the chest rose just slightly.

— This can’t be… — she whispered.

She pressed her ear to the chest. In the silence of the morgue, a faint, barely audible sound was heard.

A heartbeat.

The attendant recoiled and covered her mouth with her hand. If she was right, the girl would have been buried alive.

She didn’t wait and ran into the corridor, almost sprinting toward the doctor’s office.

— Hurry, come with me. She’s alive. Check her.

The doctor looked up from the papers, clearly irritated.

— Who’s alive?

— The bride. Her body is warm, and her heart is beating. I heard it.

He sighed heavily, put down his pen, and reluctantly got up.

— Let’s go. But if this is another hallucination, I’ll make you write a report on your condition.

They entered the box. The girl lay the same, motionless, eyes closed.

The doctor approached, put on gloves, and began the examination. He felt her neck, checked her pupils, applied a stethoscope.

The attendant watched his face.

— Well? — she asked softly.

He straightened.

— The body retains warmth for the first few hours. That’s normal. You may have mistaken muscle twitches for a pulse. Some poisonings can cause postmortem reactions.

— But I heard a heart.

— You imagined it. We already checked her in reception. There’s no cardiac activity.

He removed the gloves and tossed them into a container.

— Don’t psych yourself out. It’s part of the job. You’ll get used to it over time.

He left. The attendant was alone again.

She approached the table once more. The girl looked far too alive.

A few minutes later, it seemed to her that the bride’s fingers twitched ever so slightly.

The attendant leaned in sharply.

— If you can hear me, give a sign, — she whispered.

No reaction.

She stood there, trying to convince herself that the doctor was right. That she was imagining things.

But inside, there was a different feeling.

That night, she didn’t go home immediately. She returned to the box and checked again—the skin remained warm longer than it should have.

Then she made a decision.

She installed a small camera in the corner of the room, pointing it at the table. She didn’t tell anyone.

The next morning, she arrived before anyone else and locked herself in the storage room. She started recording.

The first two hours were silent. Then she saw something that truly terrified her 😱😯 The continuation of the story is in the first comment 👇👇

Then—movement. The bride took a deep breath. Sharp, as if surfacing from underwater. Her fingers clenched. Her eyes slowly opened.

The attendant froze in front of the screen. A few minutes later, the doctor entered the room. Not alone—he was accompanied by the groom.

The recording captured the doctor saying:

— Everything’s fine. The dose was exact. Officially—clinical death. The documents are already processed.

The groom glanced around nervously.

— Hurry. They mustn’t see us.

They helped the girl to stand. She was weak but conscious. They led her out through a service exit. The attendant sat, not blinking.

Now she understood everything.

There had been no accidental poisoning. The bride had been put into a deep medically induced coma. Her pulse slowed to nearly undetectable. To a superficial check—she was dead.

Why?

A few days before the wedding, a large insurance policy had been taken out on the bride. In the event of her death, the money would go to the husband.

But more importantly—the girl owned a share in her father’s business. While she was officially considered alive, no deals could be made without her signature. After her official death, control would pass to a trusted person—the groom.

The plan was twofold: collect the insurance payout and transfer the assets. Then the “body” was supposed to be cremated without any further examinations.

Judging by the recording, the bride knew about the plan. She agreed to disappear to start a new life abroad and escape the family’s pressure.

But they didn’t account for one thing—the morgue attendant, who didn’t believe the words, “You imagined it.”

She kept a copy of the recording.

And this time, she didn’t enter the doctor’s office alone.
