John was born in 1954 in New Jersey, New York.
He was the youngest child in his family.
He dropped out of high school to focus on acting because he knew from a young age that he wanted to be an actor.

Kelly said in 2018 that she wasn’t happy in her previous marriage and that she wasn’t with the right person.
In July 2020, Kelly passed away from breast cancer. She and John were married for nearly 30 years.
Their son, Jett, was born on April 13, 1992. Their daughter, Ella Bleu, was born in 2000, and their youngest son, Benjamin, was born in 2010.
Jett passed away in 2009 due to seizures related to autism. John felt horrible and admitted he didn’t know how to handle everything. The star had to recover to be able to spend time with his other two children.
Like her parents, Ella is also an actress. She said that she had been interested in this field since childhood and was fortunate to have parents who gave her good advice.
After Kelly’s death, Ella wrote some heartfelt words for her mother. She said that her mother was the best person she had ever known and that she loved her very much. She expressed gratitude for everything her mother did for her.
Ella says that her father is the most important person in her life and that they are very close.
John is also very proud of his daughter and always shows it, especially on social media, where he posts a lot.
On one occasion, he shared a video of himself dancing with Ella to honor Kelly. John mentioned that dancing with him was one of Kelly’s favorite activities.
