A young widow came every week to her husband’s grave to water it.

LIFE STORIES

Each week, a young widow went to her husband’s grave to water the flowers. Then, each time, she would turn around and walk away. “I see you’ve shown great respect for your late husband,” remarked a young man who had been watching her for a while.

I really like that you don’t look back when you leave,” said the young man.
“Well, my good sir,” she replied.

Good jokes always make us smile, and the following one will brighten your day. In reality, some women marry much older men to secure their inheritance; the woman in this story is one of those women.

Each week, she would go to her husband’s grave to pay her respects and water the flowers. However, she always turned away when leaving the cemetery. Week after week, a young man who had been observing her couldn’t resist approaching and starting a conversation. “It’s clear that you have shown great respect for your late husband,” he remarked.

I really think it’s admirable that you don’t look back when you leave,” he said. The man was stunned by the woman’s response as she looked him straight in the eyes. “Well, my husband used to say I had a behind that could raise the dead from their graves. I don’t want to take any chances.” Isn’t that funny?
