Marlène Schaff, vocal coach at Star Academy
Marlène Schaff is part of the teaching staff for the new season of Star Academy. Along with Lucie Bernardoni, she regularly participates in the students’ rehearsals. Present at the château several days a week, Marlène Schaff is responsible for announcing the songs and duets for the prime-time shows. She also works tirelessly with the Star Academy participants to ensure they perform their best during the live shows.

Marlène Schaff herself has a solid musical background. For years, the singer has auditioned for various well-known casting shows. Recently, the artist revealed that she wasn’t selected by the jury during the casting of the show “Nouvelle Star” on M6. She discussed this in an interview with Le Parisien.

After her performance, the jury did not allow her to continue.
“You would make a very good choir singer,” they told her in a slightly condescending tone. Marlène Schaff recalls her participation in the show with bitterness. “Saying something like that was cruel, mean, and disrespectful to part of the profession,” laments the Star Academy vocal coach.

Fortunately, the young woman found more success when she later participated in another TV show. In 2013, Marlène Schaff was a contestant on The Voice. She managed to impress the coaches during her blind audition and joined Louis Bertignac’s team

She reached the live show stage.
This impressive résumé earned her recognition, and she was later hired as a vocal coach for The Voice Kids before eventually being contacted by the Star Academy production for the same role.

In addition to her TV appearances, Marlène Schaff is also a versatile artist who has performed as a showgirl in Paradis Latin and has accompanied artists on tour as a backup singer.

The Star Academy vocal coach revealed that she almost died in a horrible car accident.
During a road trip in the USA, Marlène Schaff was involved in a serious accident. “I flipped over ten times on the highway,” she said. At 17, she was taken to the intensive care unit in Las Vegas. This event changed her life. “It took a car accident to open my eyes,” explains Marlène Schaff. After escaping death, the young woman decided to follow her heart. She chose to pursue a musical career, achieving the success she is known for today. A familiar face on Star Academy, Marlène Schaff can now look back on her long journey.
