At the end of September, reports surfaced claiming that legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher had made a public appearance for the first time since 2013 to attend his daughter Gina-Maria’s wedding. However, no photos or videos confirming this information were published. According to Finnish neurosurgeon Jussi Posti, Schumacher is likely in a critical condition, and significant improvement is improbable.

Michael Schumacher has come out of his coma, his manager Sabine Kehm told the press. “Michael has left the Grenoble University Hospital to continue his long rehabilitation. He is no longer in a coma.” The former Formula 1 driver suffered a severe fall in a skiing accident in Méribel in December 2013. He was admitted to the Grenoble University Hospital with serious brain injuries.
Nothing more is known about Michael Schumacher’s current state of health. “Brief moments of awareness,” his manager revealed. “His family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, medical staff, and administration of the Grenoble hospital, as well as the rescuers who responded at the scene of the accident.
Everyone did an excellent job during the first months,” the family stated through their manager. They also expressed their gratitude to Michael’s many fans who sent their well-wishes to the driver. Michael Schumacher had already shown positive signs back in April. At the time, Sabine Kehm announced that there were “small improvements” and “brief moments of awareness and wakefulness.
