Nothing is as valuable as a mother’s love, right? When a woman gives birth, her entire life changes, and the only thing that matters is the well-being of her baby. There is nothing a mother wouldn’t do for her child, and this sad and moving story is yet another proof of that.
Shelby Ann Carter, a young woman from Wyoming, Illinois, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in January 2017. She and her boyfriend couldn’t have been happier with the newest addition to their family. Everything seemed perfect for these new parents. But as is often the case, things don’t always go as planned or expected. Tragically, the life of this loving family was turned upside down by a devastating event.
On January 30th, Shelby and her baby were at her mother’s home, where they were living, when a fire suddenly broke out. The flames spread so quickly that the entire house was filled with thick smoke, leaving no way out.
Firefighters rushed to the scene as quickly as possible and did their best to control the flames, but sadly it was too late to save Shelby. She tragically passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning.
