Christina Sandera, Clint Eastwood’s lifelong partner, recently passed away.
She was 61 years old.
They began dating in 2014, shortly after meeting at Clint’s restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Clint and Christina first met at his hotel and restaurant in California, Mission Ranch.
Sandera worked as a hostess at the restaurant.
They got along very well and were together for ten years.
Clint Eastwood stated in a statement released Thursday night: “Christina was a lovely and caring woman, and I will miss her dearly.”
According to a representative from Warner Bros., Clint will not provide any further information about Christina’s death as he mourns in private.
Before dating Christina, Clint had been married twice—first to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1987, and then to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2004.
His relationships with other Hollywood stars, such as Frances Fisher from Titanic and Sondra Locke from The Gauntlet, were long-lasting and well-known.
The famous actor has a large family with eight children.
Recently, Clint gave his youngest daughter, Morgan, away in marriage.
Clint has six children: Morgan, Kyle, Scott, Laurie, Kimber, Alison, Kathryn, and Francesca.
In 1954, Laurie was his oldest child, and in 1996, Morgan was his youngest.
Although Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera were together for ten years, not much is known about their relationship.
Despite attending several high-profile events together, such as the Academy Awards, Christina generally avoided the spotlight.
Her social media accounts were private, and she never spoke publicly about their relationship.
In a 2004 interview with CBS News, Clint said there were “vulnerable people” involved.
“I can protect myself, but they can’t,” he declared.
Despite their remarkable 33-year age difference, Christina and Clint, who turned 94 on May 31, found common ground and shared a deep connection.
At times, the couple was seen doing things together, such as going shopping in June 2014.
In addition to the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, Christina accompanied Clint to the 2015 Oscars and a screening of his movie Sully in 2016.
She even attended the premiere of Clint’s movie The Mule in 2018, along with some of his children, his first wife, and his granddaughter.
Criterion No. 2, Clint’s latest Hollywood project, is currently in post-production.
This project marks his 40th film as a director and his first since Cry Macho in 2021.
