At some point, a waitress approached their table. A young woman with neatly tied hair, a calm gaze, and a confident posture. She politely stopped beside them and, slightly leaning forward, asked:
— Have you decided on your order?
The sheikh didn’t look at her right away. He paused, as if deliberately making her wait, then slowly raised his eyes and smirked.
— No one called you, — he said with obvious mockery. — But since you’re here, write it down in your little paper so you don’t mix it up later. I know your kind.
Someone at the table let out a quiet chuckle. The atmosphere immediately became tense, but the girl’s expression didn’t change at all. She calmly opened her notepad and began writing.
The sheikh, feeling supported, continued:
— I hope you at least know numbers. Or do I have to explain everything on my fingers? Although… — he looked her up and down, — how could you even understand what we’re ordering.
